Because New Zealand is a long way away from the rest of the Alpaca Breeders throughout the world, many overseas breeders have had no problem selling their best animals to New Zealand Alpaca Breeders because they see us as no threat to their own herds and business in their own countries.

This has worked very well in most cases, but now we have all the genetics from around the world all right here in New Zealand. We now have the potential to breed animals that are right up there with the best Alpacas anywhere in the world.
